Sometimes you just have to immerse yourself in the cumulative impact of a barrage of stories, one relentlessly after another, before you really "get" it.
Well, I get it -- the problem of Islam -- because that's pretty much what I've been doing for years now -- reading Jihad Watch regularly -- daily, often several times a day. But I suspect there remain many fence-sitters out there who, at best, are lukewarm about the issue and the concerns it should arouse in a reasonable mind. This is for them.
Today's post may appear visually a little sloppy. That's only because there was so much to copy and so much to paste, it would have taken me too much time to fine-tune. Virtually all of the material was taken from Jihad Watch, from just one week's worth of news -- reporting the pandemic madness of Mohammedan rage in the wake of the Mohammed movie, between September 13 to September 20.
Update: The death toll so far now is at least 33, and more episodes of Mohammedan rage have occurred just in the 24 hours since I put up this post -- but I can't keep adding to this post indefinitely.
One may perhaps denote certain focal points of intensity in the process of this modern revival of the perennial jihad:
1) the dismantling of the Caliphate in 1923
2) the dismantling of Western Colonialism beginning in the 1950s (often attended by violent reactions -- e.g., the Algerian jihad against the French)
3) the affront of the creation of the state of Israel in 1948 when Jews took back their land from the Muslims who stole it (and their bravely dogged defense of that nation ever after)
4) the geological accident of the discovery of oil and the unprecedented, undeserved riches it infused (all the help of Western technology and expertise which we stupidly lavished them with) into the oligarchic cconomies of a key few Muslim countries
5) the Intifadas against Isreal in the latter part of the 20th century
6) 911
7) the "Arab Spring"
8) and now, drearily, this pandemic wave of riots and rage around the world, from Egypt to Libya to Indonesia to Malaysia to Thailand to Australia to Sudan to Pakistan to Afghanistan to Yemen to Tunisia to France to Bangladesh to Serbia to Scotland (just to name a few places around the globe), of which it is safe to say we have only seen the iceberg's -- or rather sandstorm's -- tip.
Let's get on with it then, shall we?

ISLAMABAD — Hundreds of Pakistanis angry at an
anti-Islam film that denigrates the religion’s prophet clashed with police in
the Pakistani capital Thursday, the most violent show of anger in a day that
saw smaller demonstrations in Indonesia, Iran and Afghanistan.
In Pakistan, a crowd of more than 1,000 people tried to make
their way to the U.S. Embassy inside a guarded enclave that houses embassies
and government offices.
Riot police used tear gas and batons to keep stone-throwing
demonstrators away from the enclave, and hundreds of shipping containers were
lined up to cordon off the area.
About 50 students from an Islamic university gathered in
Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi province in Indonesia. They burned
tires and forced a McDonald’s restaurant to close.
In Iran, hundreds of students and clerics gathered outside
the French embassy in Tehran …
Protesters chanted “Death to France” and “Down with the
U.S.” and burned the flags of the United States and Israel.

An Egyptian Interpol official said Wednesday that theoffice
[sic] sought the issuance of a red bulletin, an international wanted persons
alert, against the eight defendants implicated in producing an amateur film
that denigrates Islam and Prophet Mohamed.
"The warrant of arrest was issued [in Egypt] against
the defendants after the prosecutor accused them of committing crimes harming
the unity of the nation and defamation of the Islamic religion," said the
head of Egypt's Interpol office, Brigadier General Magdy al-Shafei.

on a terroristic threat charge on Sunday afternoon.

TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi wrote a
letter to United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to protest against
