But it is a very distinctive reason with a history of repeating, a presence today, and which is definitely looking to grow this century. So it may warrant such identifying. I wonder what future effects may result from migrations out of Eurabia, for instance?Westward Hohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10704895359147693687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29566846.post-29632578824876251282008-01-10T23:11:00.000-08:002008-01-10T23:11:00.000-08:00Didn't the Gypsies embark on their journeys as ref...Didn't the Gypsies embark on their journeys as refugees from jihad in India? In the process, they brought their folk music to Spain where the intercultural mixture produced Flamenco. Later those results mixed with African music in Latin America, too, where it a key part of life.

Also the world received a culture (or at the least a symbol) of nomadic non-attachment that people have looked to in quests for "liberation" (beatnik, 60s, etc)?

Varied cultural impacts because the Way of Mohammed forced such an adaptation on these people. I may be reaching here. But necessity is the mother of creativity, and Jihad has certainly motivated many to travel to evade it (as with Columbus seeking an alternate route to the East), and this has had culturally creative further effects.

I've wondered what it would look like if history were, as you suggest, seen through this filter (Kafir's eye view?), the way today it's often filtered through the narrative of marxist power analysis and the West's "villainy."

I love the purpose of your blog (as I understand it). It's so hard to see through these patterns, they are so pervasive, as ours is a society truly suffused with Political Correctness. A matrix layer we have not perceptually penetrated, and can't quite see.Westward Hohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10704895359147693687noreply@blogger.com
