Perhaps toward the end of that process there might be a stratification of two sides sufficient to predispose America to another Civil War.

I would say that the same dynamics (with variations here and there) apply to all the European countries and the UK (and Australia and New Zealand).Hesperadohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10394374828751466705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29566846.post-1356988595941803712009-02-15T13:56:00.000-08:002009-02-15T13:56:00.000-08:00This is a most interesting essay.I have read elsew...This is a most interesting essay.

I have read elsewhere the idea that 'blue' America and 'red' America are involved in a kind of slow burning civil war. Wherever in the world you find virulent anti-Americanism, you'll find the input of the State Department, representing 'blue' in some form or another.

This seems to actively undermine any efforts of 'red' America (e.g. military involvement in Vietnam, Iraq etc).

I can testify that here in Britain, most people who criticise America do not criticise the nation as such but any 'red', conservative, traditionalist tendency.

However, the faults of any 'blue' ideas and departments are conveniently overlooked.

Out of interest. what do you feel is the prospect of a new American Civil War based on these issues? The 1st Earl of Cromerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14165851377583132629noreply@blogger.com
