Let us also not forget, on this July Fourth, that since the time of the Founding Fathers, American culture has developed dangerous deformities: Millions of American (and European) Leftists would sneer at the Declaration of Independence and its ideals (most of them doing so while at the same time continuing to enjoy the life, liberty and pursuit of happiness America makes possible for them) thusly:
We hold these truths to be self-evident
"truths"? hah! there's no truth, only the greed of dead white men raping their black slaves and committing genocide against Native Americans, etc.
that all men are created equal
"equal"? hah! There wasn't equality back then (we had black slaves by the way) and there hasn't been all through American history, filled with evil racism and discrimination against women and gays, etc.
that they are endowed by their Creator
Fundie alert! This nation was founded by Christians! Horrors! Sound the alarms! Man your bastions! I see Creationists and anti-Abortion activists! We all know that Christians with power are the most dangerous in the world. (What about Muslims, you say? Most Muslims are nice people, what do you know? You're a racist Islamophobe following a Christian Fundie Chimp President who is trying to conquer the world for Globalist Imperialism!)
with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Yeah, right: you mean the pursuit of happiness for an evil cabal of evil white men, who have constructed an evil Capitalist system that is sucking the blood of poor people around the world and waging imperialist wars in order to maintain its power.
