Hesperado's Law
My law is sort of modeled after those unofficial, unscientific Laws or Rules listed among the eponymous Laws which a Wikipedia page catalogues (most of them are scientific laws) -- such as Benford's Law of Controversy: "Passion is inversely proportional to the amount of real information available" or Betteridge's Law of Headlines: "Any headline which ends in a question mark can be answered by the word 'no' ". And of course most everyone knows Murphy's Law: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."
My law may not be as cheeky as these, though it is meant to be provocatively informative; much like Auster's First Law of Majority/Minority Relations (about which I've written):
“The worse any designated minority or alien group behaves in a liberal society, the bigger become the lies of Political Correctness in covering up for that group.”
While Auster seemed to distribute his deployment of his Law almost indiscriminately (pun intended) among blacks and Muslims, my essay on this clarified the important differences those two demographics present which in turn highlight how, when PC MC is dealing with Muslims, it ratchets up the logic of that Law to an even higher degree of torsion, so to speak, than when it deals with blacks.
Readers of my blog over the years may recall that back in the summer of 2011, I developed four "Hesperado's Laws", so if I were being strict about this, I'd have to call today's law the "Fifth" one; but thank Allah I'm not strict. So what the hell, call this Hesperado's Law. While those other "Laws" are important, this one to me really gets to the heart of the matter.
At any rate, without further jihadoo, here it is:
Whenever a Muslim individual or group behaves in a manner that seems benign, instead of accepting that at face value, reverse engineer it to figure out why the Muslim individual or group would be doing that, given that the Islam that inspires & guides them is the opposite of benign.
What this Law calls for is not merely the general epiphany we have had in the Counter-Jihad that any given Muslim when seeming to be moderate is actually doing taqiyya -- it is calling for us to come up with a reverse-engineering explanation for how that taqiyya works in that specific context.
The principle undergirding this Law would be the following:
When it comes to Muslims, do not give them the benefit of the doubt, do not presume them innocent until proven guilty, but rather always assume the worst.
Note: Is this "Law" and its principle illegal under Western laws (including the American Constitution)? It would be, if actually translated into any action (state or private) that mistreated any Muslims without due process. However, it's not meant to be a prescription for behavior; it's meant on the level of the war of ideas, as a meme to shake our PC MC out of its irrational presumption that Islam is not a blueprint for violent sedition and deceptive espionage. I can understand people thinking it's not a useful meme, because it might well provoke reactions of recoil, even in the Counter-Jihad (but certainly in the mainstream), since it seems to be too harsh. If someone can think of a kinder, gentler way to persuade fellow Westerners of the gravity of the devolving, metastasizing situation, factoring in the devastating problem of taqiyya, I'm all ears.

ReplyDeleteHi, Hesperado
ReplyDeleteDo you remember the guy who once posted a petition on JW and other places in the Internet suggesting a Constitutional Amendment where Islam gets de-classified as a religion for purposes of the First Amendment? I tried looking for it on your site, but w/o success. Can you dig it up and post the link here?
Thanks
The problem is that Muslims will practice privately and radicalize themselves via print editions of foundational Muslim documents.
ReplyDeleteNobody, is this who you were looking for? --

Yup, thanks
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether anyone has read Rand Paul's proposal to ban immigration from some 34 countries which have Jihad activity. I don't have the list, but I assume that it includes mainly Muslim countries.
I know it's probably imperfect, since it would allow in Muslims from non-Muslim countries, while keeping out non-Muslims from Muslim countries. But does anyone think it's a start?

Drills 1) send messages to certain players, 2) signal potential upcoming events, 3) provide cover to target targeted people, and 4) provide cover for unpopular policies.
