You're getting warmer...

At this rate, our mainstream Western representatives who are responsible for protecting us, and getting paid handsomely for that responsibility, will finally get around to finding the "technique" for identifying the nature of our enemy in, oh, about 75 years -- and after, oh, about a few million of us get mass-murdered by Muslims during that time.

So we have the anxiously convoluted thought process of Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security for Allah's sake, uttering (or sputtering) the following as she grills someone below her (likely someone only infinitessimally more clueless than she) on the food chain responsible for amplifying our anti-terrorist "technique":

You've got to use actual intelligence that you received... You have not given me a technique for tactic or behavior. Something that would suggest somebody is not Muslim, but Islamic, that has actually moved into the category of violent extremists...

There is logic to this madness, alas. The logic reflects one of the manifold wrinkles of the PC MC paradigm -- to wit, the spastic reflex to superimpose Western ways of thought and culture upon Islamic ways of thought and culture. The general, unthinking assumption underlying this is relatively simple:

"We see all around us in the West various Christians and Jews in various stages of decomposition from their religious beliefs -- many of them way over on the agnostic end of the spectrum, quite a few even jumping ship altogether into atheism, many more not really thinking much about religion at all even if they might go to church once in a blue moon (Christmas, Easter, the odd wedding), not to mention all the more earnest Christians and Jews who nevertheless display a more or less relaxed non-extremism about their beliefs. So why should it be any different for the Muslims of the world? I mean, everybody is more or less the same, right?"

I.e., it's the TMOE (Tiny Minority of Extremists) meme in a new, and more laughable permutation: Sure, there are quite a few (but still a very few) "Islamics" out there causing problems -- but not to worry, the vast majority of Muslims around the world are... just Muslims who, you know, are not "Islamic".

This birdbrained view may be maintained so long as one continues to ignore the mountain of data growing in our time, and massive throughout history, indicating just how normative -- not exceptional -- extremism is in Muslim societies. For those who have the mental pencil to connect the dots -- and there are oceans of dots about Islamic pathology out there to connect -- the conclusion is reasonable that Islam itself is normatively extremist and deadly, and that its extremism has a hold, psychological and sociological, upon vast numbers of Muslims all over the world: a hold far stronger than the hold which our Western religions have upon Westerners.
